As you arrived at the impressive red-carpeted entrance to the main house, you would have noticed the gleaming Rolls Royce's supplied by Ashford Bridal Cars and Cars 4 Weddings. We stopped and chatted to one of the owners, Mike, but quickly continued our conversation in the reception area where a huge fire was too inviting to miss... I actually don't think he ventured outside again, and who could blame him with temperature hardly above freezing. We were greeted here by Peter, the hotel Manager and presented with a complimentary copy of A Kentish Ceremony magazine and a show guide. A couple of the rooms, hosted the girls from Dreams, the hotel's award winning beauty and therapy salon, and another with several wedding photographers. Magician Etienne Pradier was on hand to entertain with tricks and magic. At the far end, you could see the Rose Garden room beautifully laid out as if it was about to host a reception.
The day really kicked into action around noon, with the first of two shows in the large marque with local dress designers and bridal shops showcasing their latest gowns and accessories on the catwalk. We spent time chatting with Tamsin, from Happily Ever After and Karina, of Pumpkins and Dragonflies, about the latest trends and designs in bridal fashion. The catwalk show was really impressive with Shades Discotheque ensuring an upbeat tempo throughout and lasting about 45 minutes. In the main marque, we were particularly impressed with Videographer Jo Padgham from Padgham Productions, John Lynch Photographer, Jane from Linda's Florist in Ashford, and Gaynor's wedding floral designs at Enfleur. In an adjacent marque, further entertainment by Jazz musician, Richard Dray and friends, plus an area for drinks and refreshments, including the Eastwell Manor's renowned wine experts. We were really impressed with the table decoration and chair cover options provided by A White Hot Wedding. Oh, and Katie from Sweet Kate's deserves a mention, not just because she offered us a complimentary sweet assortment, no honest, because we loved her vintage style sweetie cart which seemed excellent value.
Eastwell Manor holds a licence for Civil Ceremonies and Weddings which can be held in the Rose Garden Room, the Bishop of Bayeaux Suite, the Chaucer Room or in the Italian Walled Garden with its elegant Gazebo. Further information on packages can be found on their website.
